TMEIC GE’s uTool™ Software Gives Clients Secure Intranet Access to Mill Operations and Systems.
Roanoke, Va. (May 3, 2010) – TMEIC GE introduces uTool™, a new software application that enhances productivity, offering connectivity and diagnostic power with secure, web-based access to key plant information and system applications.
uTool offers an integrated view of product, process and system information to deliver the right information at the right time to the right persons – maintenance, supervisory or executive staff.
uTool features Intranet availability – more users within the plant may access information easily with a Web Browser. It is secure - accessible through login, provides access to a broad range of information and tools and shows Near-Real-Time information. The linked content offers quick access to related information and documents.
uTool supports and enhances key user activities - Maintenance and Diagnostics, Monitoring and Tracking, as well as Reporting and Analysis. uTool provides convenient access on the Mill Intranet to an integrated set of web-based dashboards, interactive reports and system documents with intelligent links between them. Furthermore, with no more than a web-browser, the user may access and run new and existing server-based tools.
